In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Lafayette Commodores baseball team scored a close 7-2 win over the Center Hill Mustangs.

The Commodores (7-3) will now prepare for their game against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 7-2 record. In their last game, Petal nudged Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS), 7-0, in a non-league game.

Next, the Mustangs play the Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 10. Center Hill will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Golden Wave go into the game with a 9-3 record after their 10-7 non-league loss to Saltillo (Saltillo, MS).
