Coaches Game Summary

In a non-district game Friday night Eagle's View beat Clay High 1-0 at FSCJ North Campus. Khalil Searcy led off the 1st. inning with a triple for the Warriors but pitcher Dane Dunning worked out of it without allowing a run. Ryan Robertson pitching for EVA matched Dunning after giving up a walk then picking off the base runner. This was definitely a pitcher's duel. Robertson pitched 4 shutout innings for the Warriors allowing only 2 infield singles and no runners getting past 2nd. base. Dunning pitched 6 innings giving up Searcy's triple. Chase Hale relieved Ryan and pitched the last 3 innings allowing 1 hit and 0 runs. Now it's up to the Warriors' offense. With McNeil at first and no outs Clay High brings in Wilson to pitch. An errant pick off throw gets by the first baseman and McNeil is off on his way to 3rd. Clay High intentionally walks the bases loaded setting up for a double play. Knight lays down a squeeze play as McNeil slides in safely.
