Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), 19-13 in a non-league test.

With the win, Seventy-First upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Falcons travel to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Colts in a United Eight 3A/4A test on Tuesday, March 14. The Colts come into the test with a record of 2-4. Cape Fear won 13-4 in their recent league test against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC)

With the defeat, Union falls to 0-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC) to battle the Knights in a non-league test on Monday, March 13. The Knights come into the test with a record of 4-1. West Bladen won 13-0 in their recent non-league test against West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC)
