The Hoover Tornados softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors to 5 in the Tornados non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Hoover improves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Tornados travel to Burbank (Burbank, CA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Pacific game on Tuesday, March 12. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 6-5. Burbank won 6-2 in their recent non-league game against Diamond Bar (Diamond Bar, CA)

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets (Los Angeles, CA) in a Santa Fe game, on Tuesday, March 12.
