In Thursday's league test, the host Asheville Cougars lacrosse squad scored a good 11-3 victory over the Watauga Pioneers.

The Cougars now have a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host St. Stephens for a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills test on Tuesday, March 15. Asheville will face a Indians squad coming off a 21-0 league win over Patton (Morganton, NC). The Indians record now stands at 3-0.

In their next game, the Pioneers face the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills test, on Tuesday, March 15. Watauga will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Red Tornadoes come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 9-7 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).
