In Tuesday's league match, the host Southwest Guilford Cowboys softball team scored a tight 11-9 victory over the Northern Guilford Nighthawks.

The Cowboys (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Falcons go into the Metro 4A match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Southeast Guilford tipped Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC), 17-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Nighthawks battle the Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, March 12. Northern Guilford will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Panthers go into the match with a 4-0 record after their 6-5 non-league win over West Davidson (Lexington, NC).
