In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Apex Friendship Patriots baseball team scored a close 6-4 win over the Middle Creek Mustangs.

The Patriots (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Green Hope (Cary, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Green Hope nudged Laney (Wilmington, NC), 11-10, in a non-league game.

Next, the Mustangs play the Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 17. Middle Creek will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Golden Hawks go into the game with a 3-3 record after their 6-2 non-league win over Green Hope (Cary, NC).
