In Thursday's league match, the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots softball team scored a nice 18-3 win over the Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats.

The Patriots (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams come into the non-league match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Highland Tech notched a victory over Burns (Lawndale, NC), 9-8, in a league match.
