The Monroe Central Seminoles (Woodsfield, OH) basketball edged the host Kirtland Hornets (Kirtland, OH), 58-54 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Seminoles now possess a 25-3 record. They play next when they travel to Marion Local for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 22. Monroe Central will play a Flyers team coming off a 52-38 non-league win over Colonel Crawford (North Robinson, OH). The Flyers record now stands at 26-2.

With the loss, Kirtland falls to 19-9 on the campaign.
