In Saturday's non-league game, the host Tolleson Wolverines baseball team scored a close 6-2 win over the Lutheran Lions.

The Wolverines (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Resurrection Christian (Loveland, CO). The Cougars come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Resurrection Christian was overwhelmed by Delta (Delta, CO), 3-1, in a non-league match.

The Lions now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sunnyslope for a non-league match on Monday, March 16. Lutheran will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Castle View (Castle Rock, CO). The Vikings record now stands at 6-4.
