In Friday's league challenge, the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) baseball squad the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), by a final score of 8-6.

With the win, North Stokes upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to battle the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Ashe County won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Elkin (Elkin, NC)

With the defeat, Elkin falls to 1-6 on the season. The Buckin' elks host East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to battle the Cardinals in a Northwest 1A challenge on Tuesday, March 19.
