March 15, 2025: Marion, AR 72364 Marion Patriots (Marion, AR) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dardanelle Sand Lizards (Dardanelle, AR), 7-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Marion improves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Patriots host Searcy (Searcy, AR) to face the Lions in a 5A East game on Tuesday, March 18. The Lions enter the game with a record of 5-2. Searcy won 6-5 in their recent non-league game against Wynne (Wynne, AR)
The Sand Lizards now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Pottsville for a 4A Region 4 game on Tuesday, March 18. Dardanelle will face a Apaches squad coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Dover (Dover, AR). The Apaches record now stands at 4-3.
