Alaska High School Basketball - Metlakatla can't hold off Tikigaq
March 17, 2023: Metlakatla, AK 99926 The Tikigaq Harpooners basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the host Metlakatla Chiefs to 63 in the Harpooners non-league victory on Friday.
The Harpooners now sport a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ninilchik for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 18. Tikigaq will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 53-42 non-league win over Petersburg (Petersburg, AK). The Wolverines record now stands at 23-5.
The Chiefs (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Petersburg (Petersburg, AK). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 15-8 record. In their last contest, Petersburg was nudged by Ninilchik (Ninilchik, AK), 53-42, in a non-league contest.
