The McDowell Titans got by the host North Buncombe Black Hawks softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Titans meet the T.C. Roberson Rams (Asheville, NC) in a The Mountain 3A/4A challenge, on Wednesday, March 19. McDowell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Rams go into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 22-0 league loss to Enka (Enka, NC).
