April 24, 2025: Marion, NC 28752 In Thursday's league match, the host McDowell Titans softball team scored a tight 3-0 victory over the North Buncombe Black Hawks.
The Titans (10-8) will now prepare for their match against Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Warriors go into the The Mountain 3A/4A match with a 7-7 record. In their last match, Erwin was routed by A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC), 4-3, in a league match.
In their next game, the Black Hawks face the Enka Jets (Enka, NC) in a The Mountain 3A/4A contest, on Friday, April 25. North Buncombe will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Jets enter the contest with a 17-1 record after their 2-1 league win over McDowell (Marion, NC).
