March 20, 2023: Washington, DC 20001 Spectators at Monday's league battle between the Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) and the visiting DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD), saw Gonzaga's baseball squad knock off DeMatha by a count of 3-1.
Coming up next, the Eagles play the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) in a Washington Catholic battle, on Thursday, March 23. Gonzaga will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 6-1 record after their 5-3 league win over St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD).
The Stags now possess a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Archbishop Carroll for a Washington Catholic battle on Thursday, March 23. DeMatha will play a Lions squad coming off a 12-3 league loss to Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA). The Lions record now stands at 4-4.
