The Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) baseball trounced the visiting Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA), 14-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Matadors now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Kearny for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 22. Mount Miguel will clash with a Komets team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Chula Vista (Chula Vista, CA). The Komets record now stands at 0-5.
