In Thursday's league test, the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), by a count of 14-0.

Next, the Bruins meet the Bayside Marlins (Virginia Beach, VA) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 24. Western Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Marlins go into the test with a 1-1 record after their 11-3 league win over Princess Anne (Virginia Beach, VA).

The Warriors (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Churchland (Portsmouth, VA). The Truckers go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Churchland was routed by Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA), 12-3, in a non-league test.
