St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad topple the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 12-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, St. Stephens improves its record to 4-5 on the year. The Indians travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to battle the Spartans in a Northwestern 6A/7A match on Tuesday, March 24. The Spartans come into the match with a record of 9-1. South Caldwell won 13-1 in their recent league match against Freedom (Morganton, NC)

In their next game, the Titans battle the North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 23. McDowell will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record.
