In Friday's league game, the host North Iredell Raiders baseball team scored a close 4-2 win over the Hickory Red Tornadoes.

The Raiders (9-1) will now prepare for their game against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Knights go into the Western Foothills 3A game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, North Lincoln nudged East Lincoln (Denver, NC), 5-1, in a league game.
