The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Raton Tigers (Raton, NM) and the visiting Capitan Tigers (Capitan, NM), saw Raton's softball squad nip Capitan by a score of 8-3.

With the triumph, Raton improves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Tigers travel to St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM) to face the Horsemen in a non-league contest on Monday, March 23. The Horsemen enter the contest with a record of 2-0. St. Michael's won 19-3 in their recent non-league contest against Taos (Taos, NM)

The Tigers now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Ruidoso for a non-league contest on Monday, March 23. Capitan will face a Warriors squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 4-7.
