Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Donna North Chiefs (Donna, TX), 9-3 in a league test.

With the win, Weslaco East upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Mercedes (Mercedes, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 5A Region IV District 32 test on Tuesday, March 26. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 3-12. Mercedes lost 16-1 in their recent league test against Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX)

With the defeat, Donna North falls to 3-11 on the season. The Chiefs host Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX) to battle the Yellowjackets in a 5A Region IV District 32 test on Tuesday, March 26. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 3-15. Edcouch-Elsa lost 14-2 in their recent league test against Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX)
