Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX) and the visiting Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX), observed Weslaco East's baseball squad edge Mercedes by a margin of 5-4.

Coming up next, the Wildcats encounter the Harlingen South Hawks (Harlingen, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 contest, on Tuesday, April 2.
