Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), 12-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bassett for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. Dan River will battle a Bengals squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Bengals record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Tunstall falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Patrick County (Stuart, VA) to face the Cougars in a Piedmont match on Wednesday, March 29. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 4-2.
