The Independence Tigers softball squad (Independence, LA), was routed 22-0 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Northlake Christian Wolverines (Covington, LA)

With the triumph, Northlake Christian improves its record to 5-9 on the year. The Wolverines travel to St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA) to face the Falcons in a 2A District 7 contest on Wednesday, March 26. The Falcons enter the contest with a record of 5-10. St. Thomas Aquinas lost 11-0 in their recent league contest against Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA)

The Tigers now hold a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to French Settlement for a 2A District 7 contest on Thursday, March 27. Independence will face a Lions squad coming off a 12-6 non-league win over St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA). The Lions record now stands at 6-9.
