The Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 18-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Wolfpack now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to McMichael for a Mid-State 2A challenge on Friday, March 28. Walkertown will clash with a Phoenix team coming off a 17-1 league win over North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Phoenix record now stands at 10-3.

With the defeat, Lexington drops to 1-8 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 27. The Hornets go into the challenge with a record of 2-10. Western Guilford lost 14-8 in their recent league challenge against Page (Greensboro, NC)
