The May River Sharks edged the visiting Dorman Cavaliers softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Sharks now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lexington for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 28. May River will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 16-8 league win over White Knoll (Lexington, SC). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Dorman moves to 3-9 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Eastside (Taylors, SC) to confront the Eagles in a AAAAA Region 2 battle on Monday, March 30. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 1-9. Eastside lost 8-3 in their recent league battle against Wade Hampton (Greenville, SC)
