North Carolina High School Softball - Alexander Central holds off South Caldwell
March 28, 2023: Hudson, NC 28638 The Alexander Central Cougars the host South Caldwell Spartans softball squad by a count of 5-3 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Cougars (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers go into the Northwestern 3A/4A battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Hibriten nudged St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 5-4, in a non-league battle.
The Spartans now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Ashe County for a Northwestern 3A/4A battle on Monday, April 3. South Caldwell will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 16-2 non-league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 6-2.
