The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA) and the host Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA), saw Wilmington's baseball team gain a win over Hickory by a tally of 9-5.

The Greyhounds (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Laurel (New Castle, PA). The Spartans enter the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Laurel was overwhelmed by New Brighton (New Brighton, PA), 6-5, in a league battle.

Next, the Hornets face the Sharpsville Blue Devils (Sharpsville, PA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 29. Hickory will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the battle with a 0-2 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA).
