In Friday's league match, the host Corinth Holders Pirates softball team scored a tight 9-3 victory over the Willow Spring Storm.

The Pirates (8-2) will now prepare for their match against Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC). The Bulldogs go into the Greater Neuse River 4A match with a 2-9 record. In their last match, Southeast Raleigh was routed by South Garner (Garner, NC), 17-8, in a league match.

In their next game, the Storm battle the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) in a Greater Neuse River 4A match, on Tuesday, April 8. Willow Spring will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record.
