In Friday's non-league match, the host French Settlement Lions softball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Parkview Baptist Eagles.

The Lions (8-9) will now prepare for their match against St. John (Plaquemine, LA). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 19-2 record. In their last match, St. John tipped Northshore (Slidell, LA), 9-5, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Brusly Panthers (Brusly, LA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, April 1. Parkview Baptist will attempt to better on its 13-10 season record.
