Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), 20-0 in a league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oak Hill for a Coalfield AA challenge on Thursday, March 30. Shady Spring will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 7-6 league loss to James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Summers County falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Richwood (Richwood, WV) to face the Lumberjacks in a New River Valley challenge on Monday, April 3. The Lumberjacks enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Richwood lost 12-4 in their recent league challenge against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV)
