Illinois High School Softball - Sycamore bounces DeKalb
March 29, 2024: Sycamore, IL 60178 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) and the visiting DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), saw Sycamore's softball squad achieve victory over DeKalb by a count of 8-0.
The Spartans now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Indian Creek for a non-league match on Saturday, March 30. Sycamore will face a Timberwolves squad coming off a 10-7 non-league loss to Sandwich (Sandwich, IL). The Timberwolves record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, DeKalb falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Barbs travel to Sterling (Sterling, IL) to face the Golden Warriors in a non-league match on Monday, April 1. The Golden Warriors enter the match with a record of 6-1. Sterling won 14-3 in their recent league match against Quincy (Quincy, IL)
