The Carson Cougars baseball team (China Grove, NC), was overwhelmed 7-0 in Thursday's non-league outing with the visiting Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC)

The Ragin' Bulls now hold a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Norman for a Greater Metro 4A outing on Friday, March 31. Hickory Ridge will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-6.

With the defeat, Carson falls to 5-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to battle the Mustangs in a South Piedmont 3A test on Friday, March 31. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 9-2. East Rowan won 1-0 in their recent league test against Carson (China Grove, NC)
