The Watauga Pioneers lacrosse squad (Boone, NC), was overwhelmed 11-1 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC)

Coming up next, the Cougars meet the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) in a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills challenge, on Tuesday, April 5. Asheville will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 7-6 league win over T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).

The Pioneers now sport a 0-5 record. They play next when they host North Davidson for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 1. Watauga will meet a Black Knights squad coming off a 11-6 league win over West Stokes (King, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 4-5.
