Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) and the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), saw Hoggard's baseball squad beat Laney by a margin of 6-0.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, April 4. Hoggard will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 8-3 record after their 10-0 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).
