In Tuesday's league challenge, the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) baseball squad the host Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), by a final score of 11-8.

With the win, South Brunswick upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to battle the Screaming Eagle in a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Friday, March 24. The Screaming Eagle come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Ashley lost 8-1 in their recent league challenge against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC)
