Madison Central Jaguars (Madison, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clinton Arrows (Clinton, MS), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brandon for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 2. Madison Central will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Clinton falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Arrows travel to Germantown (Madison, MS) to battle the Mavericks in a 6A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 6. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Germantown lost 16-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Ocean Springs (Ocean Springs, MS)
