Louisiana High School Softball - Leesville bounces Simpson
April 1, 2024: Leesville, LA 71446 The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Leesville Wampus Cats (Leesville, LA) and the visiting Simpson Broncos (Simpson, LA), saw Leesville's softball squad nip Simpson by a count of 10-5.
The Wampus Cats now sport a 6-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eunice for a 4A District 3 match on Tuesday, April 2. Leesville will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 8-3 league win over DeRidder (DeRidder, LA). The Bobcats record now stands at 16-8.
With the loss, Simpson falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Buckeye (Buckeye, LA) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 18-6.
