The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) and the host Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), saw Poth's baseball team gain a win over Nixon-Smiley by a tally of 13-0.

The Pirates (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against Karnes City (Karnes City, TX). The Badgers enter the 3A Region IV District 26 battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Karnes City prevailed over Stockdale (Stockdale, TX), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Mustangs face the Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 26 battle, on Friday, April 4. Nixon-Smiley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 10-8 record after their 10-0 league win over Luling (Luling, TX).
