The Poth Pirates baseball team scored 15 runs and held the host Luling Eagles to 2 in the Pirates league win on Friday.

The Pirates now hold a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nixon-Smiley for a 3A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, April 1. Poth will play a Mustangs team coming off a 6-1 league loss to Karnes City (Karnes City, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-8.

With the defeat, Luling drops to 1-13 on the year. The Eagles host Goliad (Goliad, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, April 1. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 8-8. Goliad lost 8-4 in their recent non-league test against Sinton (Sinton, TX)
