Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), 3-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, Piedmont Community Charter upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Patriots host Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC) to play the Wildcats in a Metro Eight 1A game on Friday, April 4. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 0-4. Sugar Creek Charter lost 20-1 in their recent league game against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC)

The Stallions now own a 12-1 record. They play next when they host Monroe for a non-league game on Friday, April 4. Queen's Grant will play a Redhawks squad coming off a 25-4 league loss to Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 1-12.
