In Wednesday's non-league test, the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) softball team routed the host Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), by a margin of 9-2.

The Panthers now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Stanly for a non-league outing on Thursday, April 2. Piedmont will encounter a Colts team coming off a 4-0 league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Colts record now stands at 13-1.

With the loss, Ardrey Kell moves to 8-7 on the season. The Knights host South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to encounter the Sabres in a non-league outing on Thursday, April 2. The Sabres come into the outing with a record of 8-7. South Mecklenburg won 9-7 in their recent non-league outing against Butler (Matthews, NC)
