La Puente High School defeated host Gladstone, 5-4, on a run-scoring double by Andrew Morales in ten innings to win the Consolation Championship in the Gladstone Tournament on Thursday. Leading the way for La Puente was Matt Arguello going 3 for 5, three singles, two runs scored and a stolen base. Three other payers had two hits each - Erick Morales (2 for 4, 2 RBIs, run, stolen base, sac), A. Morales (2 for 5, dbl, sgl, RBI) and Daniel Sanchez (2 for 3, run, stolen base). Anthony Burchette pitched the final seven innings for the victory.
