The Golden Tors now hold a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barbe for a 5A District 3 outing on Saturday, April 6. Sulphur will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 19-0 league win over Lafayette (Lafayette, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 23-5.
With the defeat, Southside falls to 10-15 on the season. The Sharks host St. Louis Catholic (Lake Charles, LA) to battle the Saints in a non-league test on Friday, April 5. The Saints come into the test with a record of 17-11. St. Louis Catholic won 8-3 in their recent league test against Jennings (Jennings, LA)
