In Friday's league game, the host Swain County Maroon Devils baseball team scored a close 6-2 win over the Andrews Wildcats.

The Maroon Devils (7-6) will now prepare for their game against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights go into the Smoky Mountain 1A game with a 4-9 record. In their last game, Robbinsville was overwhelmed by Murphy (Murphy, NC), 9-4, in a league game.

Next, the Wildcats play the Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 14. Andrews will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 13-10 record after their 6-4 league win over Coahulla Creek (Dalton, GA).
