The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC) and the visiting Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC), saw Southwest Guilford's baseball team get by Grimsley by a tally of 3-2.

The Cowboys (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC). The Tigers enter the Metro 4A battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, Ragsdale held off Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 7-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Whirlies face the Page Pirates (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A battle, on Tuesday, April 8. Grimsley will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 6-12 record after their 8-2 league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC).
