In Friday's league game, the host North Mustangs baseball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Metro Tech Knights.

The Mustangs (3-10) will now prepare for their game against Fairfax (Laveen, AZ). The Stampede go into the 5A Metro game with a 6-8 record. In their last game, Fairfax nudged Ironwood (Glendale, AZ), 6-5, in a non-league game.

Next, the Knights play the McClintock Chargers (Tempe, AZ) in a 5A Metro game, on Tuesday, April 15. Metro Tech will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record.
