Pennsylvania High School Softball - Juniata holds off Newport
April 5, 2023: Newport, PA 17074 The Juniata Indians (Mifflintown, PA) softball the host Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA), 2-0 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Indians (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Susquenita (Duncannon, PA). The Blackhawks go into the Tri-Valley bout with a 3-0 record. In their last bout, Susquenita held off East Juniata (McAlisterville, PA), 10-3, in a league bout.
The Buffaloes now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy for a bout on Thursday, April 6. Newport will confront a WolfPack squad coming off a 22-11 league loss to Halifax (Halifax, PA). The WolfPack record now stands at 0-5.
