North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Greencastle Tiger Cubs (Greencastle, IN), 12-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Linton-Stockton for a Southwestern Indiana challenge on Wednesday, April 7. North Central will face a Miners squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Mitchell (Mitchell, IN). The Miners record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Greencastle falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Tiger cubs host Eminence (Eminence, IN) to face the Eels in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 7. The Eels enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Eminence lost 7-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Owen Valley (Spencer, IN)
